If you’re planning a family trip to Las Vegas, it’s essential to have a hassle-free experience while navigating around the city. Here are some helpful tips that can improve your experience while you go through the Top 100 Things to Do in Vegas With Family list.

Monorail Las Vegas

Use the Monorail

At the top of our list and the one that will make the most difference when it comes to accomplishing anything on the Top 100 Things to Do in Vegas With Family is the Monorail.

One of the best ways to get around the Strip is by using the monorail, which runs north and south to bypass the escalators and walkways. By purchasing an all-day pass, you can hop on and off at your convenience, and it’s an excellent activity to keep toddlers entertained. It spans one end of the Strip to the other, covering approximately 4.5 miles, so it’s a preferable option to walking, which can be a challenging and time-consuming task.

While using the monorail, it’s essential to be mindful of the stops, most of which are casinos. The main Linq station is a popular stop, but it can be a bit confusing to navigate through the Harrah Casino to get there. Similarly, the MGM stop may be perplexing to get out of the hotel and over to the Excalibur. However, the Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay share a monorail between them, which is a more convenient option.

Driving to the Strip

If you’re driving to the Strip, it’s highly recommended to park your car in one of the parking garages and ride the monorail around the city. The roads behind the strip are under construction, and the strip has been shut down intermittently since the beginning of the year. Therefore, it’s best to avoid driving around and instead use the monorail.

Picking a Side of The Strip

When walking around with young children, it’s better to stick to one side of the street as long as possible, as the Strip can be crowded and busy. Many people split the Strip into “top” and “bottom,” depending on their preference, but if you’re traveling with young children, sticking to one side of the street can be more comfortable.

Bring Your Small Stroller

Lastly, if you’re traveling with a child, it’s best to pack a small stroller. Walking around the Strip with a toddler can be challenging, and having a stroller can make your experience more comfortable. However, it’s recommended to use a small umbrella or compact stroller rather than a large one as it can be challenging to move around with a big stroller.
