Our absolute favorite when it comes to resorts for families in Phoenix. A sprawling resort located in the Sonoran Desert, offering a wide range of amenities for the whole family. While very close to the airport, you will still feel like you are in your own secluded area away from others. The resort covers over 7 acres and is a perfect retreat for the entire family. 

Pros:

  • Expansive water park with high-speed water slides, a relaxing lazy river, a massive wave pool, huge hot tubs, and an adults-only pool
  • Multiple pools throughout the resort areas that are less busy than the water park if you are looking to relax and unwind 
  • Full-service spa for relaxation, with a private pool 
  • On-site restaurants serve delicious meals, and one very unique one where you can try rattlesnakes. 
  • Large bedroom suite and guest rooms available 

Cons:

  • Despite palm trees, there is limited shade around the water park area, but affordable cabanas with shade, water, and service.

We stayed here last summer for a family getaway. As we were looking at the amenities of each family-friendly resort, this one stood out as a great spot because of the multiple pools around the resort, not one but two high-speed water slides to choose from, and a smaller, more gentle water slide for younger kids. 

The rooms were the only thing that were not over the top impressive; they were nice, and the beds were comfy. But it was all around a great Resort and the perfect family getaway in Arizona.
